They are exquisitely hand carved from sugi Japanese cedar. A typical ranma may be from 1 2" thick to 1 1 2" thick. These two are unusual in that the single pieces of wood carving extends beyond the boundaries of the edges in all three directions at 3" thick. It is approximately 67. 5" x 14. 5" x 3" and weighs in at 15lbs
