The map also shows a large chunk of Portuguese territory, now known as Mozambique. There are not many maps of Rhodesia in its early form as an unrecognised state, operated under charter by the British South Africa Company. Cecil Rhodes had marched north in 1890 and claimed a huge chunk of land from the locals. The Company operated the country fairly
