Kings Road Crossing reserved A window on the Paris
Description
A window on the Paris theatres between the wars that hadn’t changed much since Lautrec’s day
When I visited Ray at his home outside Bath
It does happen occasionally but short of the painter using a pseudonym to dodge a gallery contract – as often happened – or a joker adding their name for some spurious reason
A complete mystery to me
When this was painted in 1938
