Narcissus Scottish Show 2022 Brook painted his first wife
Description
Brook painted his first wife Peggy many times but this coy little portrait is so intimate a study
Although dressed in sumptuous silks
She had made her money
This show had a huge impact on me as it brought together many of the best young portrait painters working at that time and Brendan was one of them
I did say I wouldn’t be boring you to death with biographical information that can be found on our website but in Trotin’s case the story is just too good
