What caught a number of dealers’ eyes were the student works

I bought this from the great Grant Waters the author of the eponymous Art Dictionary and it has hung in my last two houses

either way it is a wonderful evocation of a musical moment in American history

This painting was exhibited at The Royal Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts in 1915
