Antique Japanese Late Meiji Era Usubata Iron Vase Buddhist Family Shrine 9" Roundel All hand painted with aThis is an antique Japanese early 1900's iron Usubata (flower vase). This vase was used in a butsudan (Buddhist family shrine) to offer flowers. It is made of a heavy iron and has a thick raised calligraphy. This vase measures 9" wide at the fluted top and 8" tall. A beautiful way to display flowers. It has a strong tri pod footing. The large top part easily separates from the lower vase. Typically the top is taken to a place where flowers are
