This work is made using soil from Kochi prefecture where he lives that is high in iron and that he mines himself. Repeated high temperature firings allow the iron in the glaze to mix with the soil, resulting in a deep, beautiful ultramarine color. Repeated high temperature firings give the work great strength and it is microwave safe. It is also a comfortable weight when
