Antique Japanese Meiji Era (c1880) Cloisonné Black Vase Maple Tree & Birds 6” Jubako Antique Japanese suzuribako from theThis is a beautiful Japanese Meiji era (c. 1870 90's) ornate cloisonn vase. The enamel decorations are of maple leaves, flowers, irises and birds with irises on the obverse with solid black background. There is minor damage to the enamel in several places that can be seen in the photos but they hardly detract from the beauty and the amazing craftsmanship. Made of copper, copper alloys and vitreous glass enamel. This vase is 6" tall by 3" in diameter
