Throughout WW2 the Germans incorporated captured enemy tanks into their armored units, particularly on the Eastern Front where captured Russian tanks helped sustain the Wehrmacht. The Panzer 747(r) is a beutepanzer, a T 34 captured by the Germans and modified for their use. The base is a 1941 1942 T 34 with a cast turret.
