Fricheti, 2021 Malvasia Grapes: TressallierSamuel is aiming for an elegant drink with this red. Two thirds Cabernet Sauvignon, with the remainder Merlot, the grapes are macerated for a fortnight in different vats before blending and ageing until the following spring. The cooler vintage has given the wine an enticing freshness, with brambly fruit and bitter herbs combining on the palate to stunning effect.
