The Whale Watcher is constructed with waxed cotton canvas, and features a hat saving rope with a clip. Clip it to your shirt or jacket on windy days on the boat to make sure it doesn't go overboard. On fairer days, the rope and clip go across the front of the crown in classic "rope hat" fashion.
