Old World Map, 1565 by Ferando Bertelli - Ancient Atlas Wall Chart - Terra Incognita, Cherubs, Australis Size:28x45in (70x114cm) MacPhersonThis exceedingly rare world map one of the first ever published in 1565 has been lovingly restored by The Unique Maps Co. The map was crafted and published by Ferando Bertelli out of Venice. It is likely based on the work of Paolo Forlani, and his map was based on Giacomo Gastaldi's world map a map that would be the prototype for many other world maps over the next 100 years or so. Back in the 1500s our understanding of the world was rather different
