EC Lyons Spitsticker Tool Size:# 3 Text & image will collideEC Lyons makes high quality tools for wood engraving. These tools are made from high carbon tool steel. The tip of a Spitsticker is pointed, but the sides are curved. This makes it possible to draw long, fluid lines that twist and curve gracefully, tapering rather than ending in a flat or round edge (like lines drawn with a scroller). Used lightly, a spitsticker will score a thin line; the line will swell if the tool is engaged further into the wood.
