Images of deer were closely associated to poetry and the arts in ancient times, it is also believed that they were symbols for love, peace and fertility too. Deer were also believed to be closely linked to the faerie realm. These Celtic patterns date back to around 450BC, when the interlacing knot work style started to emerge, although there exact origins are shrouded in
