It may be as simple as overfilling the oil but I don’t want to recommend that without testing it first

The shift stopper plate is located behind the clutch assembly and does require a special socket for removing the clutch assembly

modded by SUP to provide oil during wheelies

As with the past design, the stock filter screen is bypassed, though with the design of the new grom, all oil coming out of the pump is run through the filter before going to the other vital motor components. So, you dont have to worry about clogged passages if you do find debris in your oil! I still recommend breaking the motor in with an unmodified
