Fishing Boats by Ohara Koson, 1900 Size:A0 (841x1189mm) Name of the Map: "ToFishing Boats by Ohara Koson is a serene Japanese woodblock print created in the early twentieth century, likely between 1900 and the early 1920s. Best known for his lyrical depictions of birds, flowers, and quiet corners of nature, Koson brings the same refined sensitivity to this maritime subject. In place of dramatic narrative, he offers an intimate glimpse of working vessels at rest, their long hulls and masts arranged with poised simplicity.
