Vintage Japanese Hand Thrown Ceramic Tea Bowl Chawan (hairline) Snuff Bottle White and dark blue linerThis is a vintage Japanese ceramic bowl known as a chawan (tea bowl) used in Japanese chado (tea ceremony). Showa era or mid to late 20th century. This bowl was hand thrown, hand painted, and high fired for lasting durability. This chawan measures approximately 5" in diameter by 3" tall. There is a small hairline on the edge that does not effect usability (priced accordingly).
