Painted whilst staying in Ken Howard's studio in the early 2000's

By the age of thirty she and her husband Ernst were in the centre of Parisian Café society

the Great War had been over for two decades and the societal changes it wrought had led to political and social freedoms that would have been unthinkable to many women at the turn of the century

but we have agreed for this artwork to go out on loan to a public exhibition from July - November 2022

The woman in the painting is very bold
