It was created by John Bartholomew. With 41 bottles of whisky being shipped out of Scotland every second, it is one of the country's greatest exports. This map which dates back over 100 years ago shows one hundred and twenty seven distilleries that surrounded the country at the time. A grain mash was used by the monks in the absence of grapes to produce the
