Blaeu had access to the charts of the Dutch East India Company, and thus this map was the most accurate of its time. Even so, you can see that large chunks of Asia still had not been explored by Europeans. Korea is a roughly shaped island. Borneo and other parts of southeast Asia are rough outlines.
