World War 2 World Map, 1939 - Old Historical Events - Hitler Invading Poland, Allies Declaring WW2, Pope Dying Size:28x40in (70x100cm) Dutch and French GuayanaThis is one of the most powerful and interesting old maps that I've ever seen, originally published by Acme Newspictures in 1939 the year that Germany invaded Poland and World War 2 began. A lot of interesting things happened in 1939, including the end of the Spanish Civil War and the British Airways plane "Cavalier" crashed into the Atlantic Ocean en route to Bermuda among other things! This map looks great at all sizes: 12x16 inches (31x41cm), 18x24
