Old Map of Southeast Asia, 1596 - China, Korea, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, East Indies Size:20x28in (50x70cm) Christmas or Father's Day giftThis is a highly ornate, beautifully restored and superbly rare map of southeast Asia in 1596, put together by cartographer and explorer Jan Huygen Van Linschoten for his book "Itinerario" a collection of maps and writings of the East Indies. This map represents the peak of European knowledge of east Asia at the end of the 16th century. This map looks great at all sizes: 12x16 inches (31x41cm), 18x24 inches (45. 5x61cm) and 24x36 inches (61x91. 5cm),
