2024 Cornerstone Grenache bookeasy boysenberryThe vines were planted in the early 1960s on a shallow, light sandy soil over flint and quartz. We find the sandy soil profile gives smaller berries with thicker skins, giving wines of a darker colour than is usual for Grenache. The sand gives a fruit profile of strawberries and raspberries, a brightness against which the sprinkling of white pepper shines.
