There is a section of loss to the scroll pediment and the frame is slightly loose in places

This would have been a postal box for private use in a large Victorian house or establishment such as a surgery or other small business and is a charming throwback to when letters were an integral part of day-to-day life

The marriage was dissolved in 1931
