He went on to become an inter collegiate boxing champ while attending the University of Toronto. In March 1923, Hewitt aired on of the first hockey broadcasts ever from Toronto's Mutual Street Arena. Soon he became the eyes and ears of radio listeners and tv viewers across Canada and would down in history as one of the greatest sportscasters. His classic
