Akane No Oka, 2018 stock-99 Very much a fun EnglishAkane No Oka (japanese for The Red Foothill) is 100% Cabernet Franc with vivid aromas of savoury, herbal tinged plum, cassis and liquorice. Deep and brooding on the palate, showing plenty of finesse and vigour on the long finish. 2018 is the first vintage release from Les Jardin de la Martiniere after taking over the vineyard from the enigmatic Anjou winemaker, Xavier Caillard, in the same year. Planted on limestone and clay soils north east of
