I have spent a lot of time to get this heavy enough that they respect it, without it being so heavy that it bounces in the horses mouth when they are moving fast. ( if the D ring is to heavy and it bounces as they are loping around it creates a sore spot and THAT'S A BAD thing. You don't want that.
