This exceptional Japanese nomi (chisel) was made many decades ago in the mid 20th century by a master Japanese blade maker in the tradition of the samurai sword, with high carbon laminated steel that holds an edge like no other in the world. It was used for precise paring and finishing of many kinds of wood joinery.
