Description

upon an over-painting

I assume it is a self-portrait

Aphrodite was created when Cronus severed Uranus’ genitals and threw them into the sea so she had an ugly beginning but her birth has been depicted in many beautiful ways

She was built in Setubal in 1901 and retired from fishing in 1969

Medium Details: Ink and 23ct Champagne gold leaf on 640gsm smooth watercolour paper
