本書は、アワード創設80周年を記念して発行され、400を超える応募の中から選ばれた18作の入賞作品を紹介。二つの冊子を挟み込むような２冊組となっており、一方では受賞作についての詳細と論評がまとめられています。もう一方では、スイスのブックデザインの歴史についてまとめた良著『Beauty and the book』（2004）刊行から現在までの20年間の変遷について言及し、スイスのブックデザインの現在と未来について議論されています。『Beauty and the book』と同じくジュリア・ボーン（Julia Born）が編集、デザインを担当。
