Seated Nude (Louis XV/2) Gold Silver & Bronze Brook painted his first wife
Description
Brook painted his first wife Peggy many times but this coy little portrait is so intimate a study
This was presumably the original painting for a magazine or book cover
with a wry look and something of a military demeanour
as I got older
I love the cheekiness of the nude
