My Exile in Siberia 87 inwieweit PPP tatsächlich als ModellAlexander Herzen (1812 1870) was the pre eminent figure of 19th century Russian intelligentsia and the father of Russian socialism. He was exiled to Siberia in 1933 for his activism in a group of young socialists and later moved to London where he founded the Free Russian Press to avoid Russian censorship. Herzens revolutionary ideas of an unique Russian path of socialism were essentially influenced by European thinkers as Hegel, Mill and Proudhon.
