A vardo is a traditional horse drawn wagon of the Sinti and Roma people. A similar color was used in these elaborately patterned (usually excessively red) vehicles, which are considered an important cultural highlight in decoration. This deep turquoise is so full of life and joy that it was a natural choice to name it after something famously colorful. This color goes particularly well with red or dark grey tones.
