2019 Chateau Chasse Spleen Kirschbrand and peppery herbs define this
Description
and peppery herbs define this brilliant effort
It's subtle and layered
the acidity moderate
The resulting wine is a blend of 68% Pinot Noir and 32% Chardonnay
but more freshness still would have been welcomed in my view (and would also contribute to its longevity)
2019 Chateau Chasse Spleen Kirschbrand and peppery herbs define thisJames Suckling 93 points: Blackcurrant, clove, dark chocolate and graphite on the nose. Dried violets, too. It's medium bodied with firm, tight tannins. Layered and elegant with pretty floral tones. 45% cabernet sauvignon, 40% merlot, 10% petit verdot and 5% cabernet franc. Try from 2024.
