The designation PH stands for the initials Poul Henningsen, who had already designed this lamp in 1925. The PH 2 1 (1926) emits glare free light and the light reflections are directed from the shades via a logarithmic spiral bulbs placed at the focal point. The shade sizes correspond to the ratio 3: 2: 1 and each shade reduces the amount of light. The PH 2 1 (1926) therefore offers soft lighting. The PH series
