A I Class Silver Medal, in silver, the obverse features the best of Franz Joseph, the reverse bears the inscription DER TAPFERKEIT encircled by a wreath, measures 40 mm in diameter, marked A on rim denoting Vienna manufacture, worn the original red and white silk trifold ribbon with crossed sword device, light wear, ribbon tattered around suspension and at edges, swords bearing oxidation and rust, dark
