1914-15 Star - 16Th Canadian Infantry Hold experiencing shrapnel in the back(23679 PTE F. MILES 16 CAN: INF:) Officially impressed, good fine. Footnote: Frederick Miles first enlisted on September 25th 1914 after belonging to the 85th Militia Regiment. Interestingly, a second attastion document from March 1918 states that he had served 7 months in the 12th Battalion & 11 months in the 16th battalion. Moreover, it states that he had been gassed and suffered gun shots wounds to the head and right arm.
