Austria, Empire. An Honour Decoration Of The Red Cross, Officer's Cross With War Decoration Auction Archive measuring 64 mm x 70(Ehrenzeichen vom Roten Kreuz). Instituted in 1923. Multi piece construction, in silver with red, white and green enamels, Austrian hallmarked with a Diana's head (Dianakopf) (which was used between 1872 and 1922), the head flanked by a "2" on the left and an "A" (Vienna) on the right, in addition to being maker marked "G. A. S." (G. A. Scheid) on the lower prong, measuring 47 mm (w) x 56. 8 mm (h), the reverse with a dark patina, date engraved "1864"
