RIF. with BASUTOLAND clasp, replacement ribbon, lovely patina, minor wear, in extremely fine condition. Footnote: T. McCarthy is present on the Cape of Good Hope General Service Medal Roll, as a Private in the Cape Mounted Riflemen. A total of 1589 of the Silver Medals with the "BASUTOLAND" clasp were awarded. The Cape Mounted Riflemen played a central role in maintaining
