Rooy, Anton van - Vintage Cabinet Photograph Playbills Music Russian soprano (1888-1966)Dutch bass baritone (1870 1932), who had a voice of enormous proportions and is most remembered for his association with the music dramas of Richard Wagner. Unsigned cabinet photograph of the singer shown as Wotan at the Bayreuth Festival; cabinet by W. Hoffert (blind stamped on the front). Size is 4. 25 x 6. 5 inches, ink marking over the lower right corner indicating the year 1889, in excellent condition.
