Saxe-Meiningen, Kingdom. A Saxe-Meiningen First War Service Medal Buy Now Parts of the Siegfried line(Verdienstabzeichen). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse depicts a Templar Cross with a central initial B for Bernhard within a ring of oak leaves, reverse depicts a Templar Cross with central Saxe Meiningen coat of arms, ringed by an inscription of FR VERDIENST IM KRIEGE 1914 15 (For Merit in War 1914 15), unmarked, measuring 40 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
