A well preserved First World War commemorative stein, constructed of glazed off white earthenware, the exterior bearing a finely detailed and hand painted scene of a group of Pickelhaube clad German soldiers overrunning a pair of entrenched French soldiers, waved on by an Officer wielding a sword, within an oak leaf wreath wrapped in a ribbon presenting in a classic black, white, and red Imperial tricolour, above a
