Footnote: The Battalion was raised and mobilized in Hamilton, Ontario under the authority of G. O. 86, July 1, 1915. The Battalion sailed June 19, 1915 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel E. C. Ashton with a strength of 39 officers and 1,004 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 3rd Reserve Battalion and was disbanded on September 15,
