An Imperial Japanese Army Officer’s M38 Visor Cap Auction silver gilt hammer and sickleAn Imperial Japanese officers visor cap, constructed of olive drab wool twill with a bright red wool cap band. The crown of the cap is trimmed with a band of red piping, and is flanked on each sides by dual ventilation holes reinforced with magnetic metal eyelets. The centre of the cap bears a five pointed star, constructed of gilded bronze, measuring 23 mm (w) x 23 mm (h) and affixed with dual reverse attachment prongs. The cap is flanked by bronzed
