and as such escaped the post-war recognition bestowed upon those larger regiments suffering greater numbers of combined battlefield and health related deaths

Germany, Imperial. A German Red Cross (Drk) Decoration, Iii Class Archive The Squadron was later re-formed(Rote Kreuz Medaille III. Klasse). Instituted 1 October 1898 by Kaiser Wilhelm II. (1898 1921 issue). Constructed of zink, on loop for suspension from its period original bowtie ribbon with horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 33 mm (w) x 36 mm (h), in very fine condition.
