King Edward VII Land Antarctic postcard re-posted from Victoria Land NZ One Shilling 2005 July 29-31 Round 18A wonderful postcard from the heroic era of Antarctic exploration involving two of the most famous expedition leaders and three of their expeditions. This 1904 Canterbury Times postcard, depicts a gun cotton explosion attempting to break the ice which had trapped Scott's ship the Discovery in 1902.
