Germany, Luftwaffe. An Observer’s Badge, Cloth Version Auction Footnote: The Order of Merit(Beobachterabzeichen, Stoffausfhrung). An excellent example of an Officers bullion version badge, with a high degree of detail, constructed of dark grey wool, the obverse bearing a hand embroidered oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse retaining an intact black wax paper liner, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 62 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
