Constructed of silvered and gilded bronze with enamels, the obverse consisting of an elongated eight pointed radiant star, the obverse bearing a central oval medallion overlaid by a raised German soldier in Stahlhelm and full field gear, surrounded by a pebbled gilt border, in turn forming the centrepiece of a white enameled Cross Patte with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the reverse with two visible rivets
