Louis XVI, King of France - Signed Document 1787 Autographs Actresses - Letter S German tenor (1879-1953)Last king of France (1754 1793) before the French Revolution and the fall of monarchy in 1789. Louis became the King of France in 1774, at age 20, until the monarchy was finally abolished in September 1792. He was guillotined just 4 months later, in January 1793. Partially printed document with signed by him below, as the King of France, also signed by Armand Marc Comte de Montmorin (1745 1792), just before becoming Secretary of State for the Navy.
