Germany, Weimar Republic. A Saxon First World War Veteran’s Honour Cross consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac a late War example in(Ehrenkreuz). Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse bearing a central raised Saxon coat of arms, the twelve oclock arm bearing a crossed sword clasp, the reverse bearing a central raised monogram, the six oclock arm bearing a date of 1914, unmarked, measuring 41. 84 mm (w) x 45. 84 mm (h), weighing 18. 5 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in extremely fine condition.
